Bertha the Book Bus

Bissap and Books is Denver's only mobile kids bookstore where we make literacy affordable and accessible. 95% of the books in our bookstore are $2-3 each and no kid is EVER turned away from getting a book. Founded in 2025, Dr. Jenaya Perdue started her bookstore with a foldable table, easel, and 3 bins of books. Since then, she has set up at over 80 events, donated 2,000 books to kids in book desert neighborhoods, and spread her love of reading all over town.
